Q. In the last few weeks, we have been asked if it is acceptable for two Australian doctors travelling together to supervise each other’s
COVID-19 pre-departure tests and sign off on them using their registration numbers, before they re-enter Australia.
A. We have consulted with the subject matter experts and the answer is ‘no’ they can’t. They cannot do this if they are travelling. However, after 18 April 2022, entry requirements for international travellers wishing to enter Australia will relax. Pre-departure tests will not be required if you are boarding your first departure flight on or after 18 April.
